On July 5, 2019, I found several fruiting bodies on Typha which I determine as Belonopsis iridis.
The host was mowed a few weeks ago and was drying in the sun. Let me ask you two questions:
1) I only found "collapsed" asci, can this be a result of dehydration?
2) In my first preparation I found oval conidia (2-2.2 x 1.4-1.7 µm). Can they belong to the anamorphic form?
Thank you very much for your cooperation,
François Bartholomeeusen
of course this species does not survive when dry. But maybe it was also parasitized because the conidia remind me of Helicogonium (intrahymenial parasite). They might originate in asci or on phialides.

Greetings,
François
