Unknown tiny Helotiales
Nicolas VAN VOOREN, 23-06-2018 17:35
Nicolas VAN VOORENHere is a very small Helotiales growing on rotting wood in a wet place. Apothecia measure 0.2-0.3 mm diam.
Asci 56-61 × 7.5-9 µm, with crozier, IKI + (bb)
Paraphyses simple, without VB
Ascospores cylindric or slightly allantoid, 9.5-12 × 3-3.5 µm, containing VBs
Excipulum of t. prismatica.

I have no idea of the genus...

Re : Unknown tiny Helotiales
Hi Nicolas
this is difficult to tell. There are no marginal hairs? Hyaloscypha could be a possibility. The paraphyses are rather narrow? To see them could help, as well as a view on the margin. Such small apos without striking characters are very difficult.

The drops in the spores are LBs not VBs (they resist in KOH).

Re : Unknown tiny Helotiales
I found another "greater" apo, with marginal hairs (reaching about 35 µm in length). This looks like a Hyaloscypha, maybe H. vitreola...

Yes, or albohyalina.
