I came across this striking luminous green fungus growing among, but seemingly not parastising, the moss Pseudephemerum nitidum on the acid soil root mass of a fallen conifer.

Perithecia approximately 0.3mm with asci measuring 78 x 18, with many small ascospores inside. Ascospores appeared aseptate (not certain as not stained - buying congo red and cotton blue soon) and were constricted at the middle. A random spore in an ascus measured 4.7 x 3.0 microns. I did not see any liberated.

Not a good description - I am quite new to this - but any assistance would be appreciated as it was an interesting find. IoW, South England.
