Dear friends, I have a set of photos of a Peziza like species in situ but I had not progressed my follow up with micro. The habitat was calcareous soil with moss. The cups were chocolate brown with a paler abaxial surface and forms a dark brown rim when the individual is very mature and old. well we let the photos to speak for themselves.I am thinking that it is Peziza moseri which is found in Malta.

Re : Peziza moseri (without micro)
Thank you Mario - I know and I agree re micro. I posted for opinions on the photos and data I have available. Usually, I carry out Micro but due time constraints, I have to drop some specimens. Peziza cf moseri would be my label for this.
