Hyphomycete on Plagiochila and Literature Request

Can any help with the attached. It was growing on the teeth on Plagiochila leaves.  It forms a 300micron wide, black-brown tuft right at the apex, on several teeth on relatively few leaves. I am afraid that is the best I can do with photography. In addition, has anyone go the journal paper that might help me with such things:
