Andreas

Hi Andreas
I also imagine that this is more apothecioid. Did you try a section?

Re : Pyreno ??

Hello Zotto,

I did, but am not satisfied with the result ....

But I have observed that at least some of the apothecia are sitting on a mat of algae - so it is quite possible that this is a lichen, unfortunately ;-)

thanks and best regards,
Andreas

Re : Pyreno ??
Ah, this section shows with the convex disc downwards. Inamyloid lichens are quite rare, but maybe. And some are non-lichenized :-) The dead asci with their wall thickening would be necessary for help from a lichenologist, I am quite sure.
