Hola a todos.

Subo unas fotos de un asco que hemos encontrado hoy sobre tierra húmeda en pinar con hayas de suelo ácido.

Miden hasta 3 mm de diámetro.

Ascas amiloides, con croziers en la base.

Esporas lisas, casi fusiformes, con gútulas en el interior, de 12,5-17,5 x 4,5-6 micras.

Hmm, this is similar to Ombrophila limosella, but the LBs in the spores are much to large.

Did you study a section? Is the medulla highly gelatinized? Any outer gel layer at the lower flanks?

Subo fotos de gel de la zona medular y fotos de esporas recién expulsadas y de esporada libre al cabo de unas 4 horas después de la recolecta.

The three pics after the excipulum are wonderful, in these I believe. They actually look like being just ejected, and they show the guttule pattern of the mature spore. The large LBs in your other pics are probably caused by influence of drying or keeping in a moist box.

The gelatinized medulla looks o.k., while the gel layer outside the brownish large cells of ectal excipulum appear to be variably present, after my documents.

So it seems O. limosella.

Ok Rubén, ahora con estas nuevas fotos queda más claro cómo evoluciona el contenido esporal. Encajan ahora mejor con O. limosella, si bien yo siempre le he visto esporas con otra morfología... con una Q menor. A ver si tengo la oportunidad de recolectarla de nuevo y comparo las esporas.

I agree Raul, the spores in my limosella folder are often smaller and often also with a lower l:w value. Only my old drawing Ombrophila limosella, HB 2433.JPG shows a spore size quite comparable to that of Ruben.
