Second Scutellinia
Malcolm Greaves, 02-07-2013 01:09
Malcolm GreavesMoving on from the possible S legaliae there was this second Scutellinia found on soil nearby. I thought it might be S crucipila with its short hairs but when heated in LCB the perispores did not collect at the poles but stayed wrapped around the whole spore.

The hairs are 250 long with simple roots.
Spores 18 x 10.5
Any thoughts anyone?
Thanks

Re : Second Scutellinia
Cher Collègue,

Sans doute S. torrentis (Rehm) T. Schum.

Voici les éléments de la microscopie (Merci de ne pas tenir compte de l'échelle placée par erreur sur l'asque !)

Adio Mal,

I'm agree with René. Probably S. torrentis.
But if you have some photos of hairs, it will be better.

Sincerely,
Beñat

Adio Mal,

Ok, thanks. Hairs correspond. S. torrentis is a good hypothesis.
