Claviciitaceae (?) on twig of deciduous wood
Lothar Krieglsteiner, 05-10-2023 21:07
Lothar Krieglsteiner... possibly of Fraxinus, today in Germany (Bavaria, Oberpfalz).
The spores are lying parallel in the ascus and are fragmenting into pieces. I did not notice the fungus growing possibly on animals, but there were many mites on the twig.
Does somebody have a hint to the genus or species?
Yours, Lothar

Hello Thomas,
thank you very much für your link. Yes, this looks quite the same than mine, also on Fraxinus. Beetle larvae ... - o.k., possible.
Strange that fungi of the same genus grow on Elaphomyces and insecta, respectively ...
Yours, Lothar
