Any idea? By a spring-head, on the wet, loamy ground (not on wood), among Funaria hygrometrica mosses, near by Octospora excipulata and Cheilymenia crucipila. Fruitbodies 1-3 mm. I collected and examined the first time. It has inoperculate asci, and biguttulate, slightly Ombrophila-like spores.

Was it in a burnt place as the moss Funaria would indicate ?


I think it is a Discinella . We are used to collect a similat one on burnt acid places .

Important would be to see the iodine reaction of the asci, also the contenst of the living paraphyses (in water). Discinella has usually no vacuolar contents.
