Are your fruitbodies photographed when dry and did they open their hymenium when you rehydrated them?
Hysteropatella has an open hymenium, partly even when dry. But I never met H, clavispora.
I do not know a recent report.

so you mean they change from slit-like to lentiform. Did you check the iodine reaction with Lugol? And did you measure the spores?

Yes, the last 2 questions of Zotto are important. Thus, if you can show ascomata rehydrated.
Because Hysteriaceae is not yet excluded, with the few informations we have.
