Possible Lasiobelonium variegatum
John Leach, 26-02-2015 23:58
Hello all

On a visit to Anston Stones (South Yorkshire) 21st February 2015 I came across this Ascomycete growing on the underside of dead wood (Ash, Elder and Birch nearby).

Ascus tips blue in Meltzer's and the spores measured 10 - 13.5 x 2 (2.5) micron.

Any help or comments most welcome.

Best Wishes - John
