I found this Orbilia on a branch of populus the spores are 7-9 x 3 um  I like to know where I can find the key of this genera or the name.

Hi Ingrid

I agree this is an Orbilia. But your microphoto really does not help me to guess the species. The spore is probably from another fungus.

Important is that you see the asci and the spores within. they are rather small usually in Orbilia.

Try a squash mount of the hymenium and view with oil immersion. Perhaps it is O. auricolor which has very thin falcate spores.

Zotto,

I have now the spores in the asci and apart. they measure straight 11 x 1. and a very little bit um.I hope this will bring me closer to the name.
I did see one reply from You That the spores should be 8-12 x 1.2 µm  for the auricolor
