Hello again,I have recently found another interesting fungus growing on decideous wood (Fagus or Carpinus). I will give you a description of it right here:
Fruitbody consisting of clustered pseudothecia (similar to Dothiora ribesia) embedded (partly?) in an unshaped, black stroma 0,8-1,4 mm, which shows grey to darkgrey colors after cutting it; "Pseudothecia" sphaerical, 0,1-0,2 mm, pale brownish, with a protuding ostiolus covered with black hairs.
Spores 14-17x5-6 µm, hyalin, pale brownish, 6-9x septate with a few longitudinale septes, in almost all cells with one bigger vakuole, smooth, constricted at septae.
Asci 50-60x8-12 µm, with 8 spores in an irregularly biseriate arrangement, short stalked, claviform to cylindrical, IKI- (no reaction).
Paraphyses inconsiderable, very tall, hyaline.
Hairs 10-14x2,9-4,3 µm, consisting of 1 or 2 cells, dark brown, smooth (reminds of hairs of Podospora-species).
What can it be? One more question: is Ellis&Ellis "Microfungi on Land Plants" a book to determine this species? I know about it but I wish to have some critics ;)
regards,
kazuya

Hallo Kazama
This is Capronia (earlier Berlesiella) nigerrima, a fungus growing parasitic on Eutypa etc.
See f.ex. Schmid & Schmid 2: Nr, 95

Re:strange Dothideomycetes?
Hmpf, Zotto, warum bist du immer schneller als ich? :D jedenfalls wars mir jetzt klar geworden ^^
by the way: I have determined this species (I found it 2 years ago...but it seems as if I was to lazy to remember :D) with ARX/MÜLLER 1975: A re-evelation of the bitunicate ascomycetes with keys to families and genera.
regards and thanks to Zotto anyway ;)

Die hatten Guy und ich früher oft gefunden, als wir auf Prunus spinosa sammelten .-)
