Re : Unkown asco on horse dung
Salut Joop.

Certainement Arnium macrotheca. Il me semble voir sur certaines spores une étroite enveloppe gélatineuse. Elle est difficile à voir, essaye d'autres préparations avec un colorant différent. Les dimensions correspondent ainsi que les poils au sommet.

Michel.

Merci Michel,

Can I use cotton blue when looking for the gelatineus sheath or do you prefer another colorant?

Try with diluted ink or black chlorazol.

Hello Joop.

Your first photo seems to confirm Arnium macrotheca we see the gelatineus sheath.

Re : Unkown asco on horse dung
Hello Joop & Michel,

this interesting species seems to be rare in Germany. I saw it only three times, all gatherings on old horse dung. Actually it's growing in moist chamber!
Half year ago I did a little portrait at Pilzforum.eu, sorry only in german!
The spores are in Indian Ink.
If you want, you can have a look at it here:

http://www.pilzforum.eu/board/thema-arnium-macrotheca

Maybe that you can't see the nice pictures by Rada, therefore you have to be registered :-(

Hello Norbert,

I have a little piece of horse dung in culture (10x10 cm) and so far I have had 15 species and still growing.

Hello Norbert and Joop.

Norbert
thank you for the link, it works! I found several times Arnium macrotheca or on horse dung, or on cow dung , but still in a humid chamber.

Regards.

Michel.
