Bombardia bombarda?

Yesterday I found some interesting-looking black, oblong pyrenos on a piece of fallen Betula branch. 

The perithecia have a tough, leathery outer layer. I didn't manage to make a section.

What do you think -- could this be Bombardia bombarda?
